Keeping it weird.
So Wednesday me and Ryan hit the road and headed to Austin, TX. It was a long seven hour trip, but it was so worth it! We ate at this little cafe by our hotel called Star Seeds when we got there, and it was sooooo delicious and cheap! Half of the menu was Vegetarian/Vegan so it was perfect for me. We ended up eating there three times ha. We pretty much just explored the city while we were there. The UT campus area has great little vintage shops, cafes, and art. We went to a little open air art market, hit up an little record shop, went to a carnival. I had the best Italian ice ever! It was from this little cart called Italyummy or something. Ryan and I both got pomegranate YUM! We love Austin and will be back soon. On the way home we stopped in Shreveport, LA to visit Shelby. We had lunch with her and Ivy at Mona’s. It was a little lebanese place with hookah. For dessert we had Counter Culture and then hung out at Shelby’s house. Sunday Ryan and I celebrated Easter with my family. Tons of food. We felt like beached whales after ha! Spring Break was AMAZING, but now it’s back to school Bleh!

I’m so glad…
that this past week is over! I had so much stuff going on, and the stress heated me straight into a meltdown. This week is the last week of school before spring break I’m so excited! I have 2 test and 2 papers, but I don’t even care because after this week I’m off to Austin for playtime and a much needed break!
So something really weird happened this week. After reading and essay and being exposed to so many good and bad opinion about the world and its ugly side I decided I may want to join the peace corps. Yesterday I visited my sister after work and she said she was thinking that maybe I should join the peace corps. Is this a sign?! I have no clue what life has planned for me, but right now I know I have just one more year of school. After that’s over who knows where I’ll be… I just thought the coincidence was pretty weird.

LIZARDS!!!
I went to this Monday night. It was a super cool venue with pretty cool fresh faces. Jared Paul and B. Dolan did an amazing job. 2 thumbs up! Ryan helped plan the event and did a really good job and a lot of work so 2 thumbs up for him too! Anyways this week has been packed with school work I’ve had two test and two papers already. Yesterday I went to the mall to find a black and white dress I needed for an event. I made Ryan come along and he was a good sport. He picked out a cardigan for me. He’s adding color to my wardrobe one mall trip at a time haha. After the mall we grabbed dinner and with my belly full I passed out right when I got home. I woke up early and headed to the courthouse to make a payment on my ticket. BLAH! I’ll update soon and show you my sweet new cardigan!

DUDE WHERE’S MY CAR?
So on Thursday (my longest day of the week) I wake up and decide to walk to class. Little did I know that my car was towed away at 11:45 the night before. After all my classes, I walk through the parking garage at my apartment complex and in my assigned spot there is another car that isn’t mine. I had to pay $186.87 to get my car back UGHHH!
On Friday morning I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and helped to build a house for this really nice lady. This was my third year helping out, but the first year I felt that I actually built a significant part of the house. My thumb is currently purple because it was mistaken for a nail. OUCH!
Saturday I worked all day. Akon and Corey Smith and others had a free show just seconds from my apartment. I’m not really sad I missed seeing these musicians, but I am sad I missed being in good company.
Today I’m heading to my parent’s house to pay a visit, visit my puppy, and work on some school work. That part is so exciting ha.

Slacker!
So it’s been a while…as stated in the previous blogs school and work are taking over my life. My love cooked dinner for me after a long night of work on Friday. He’s the best! Then Saturday I worked a nine hour shift and after Ryan and myself went to the Spanish Moon to see Anathallo play. It was a great show. 2 thumbs up! Then Sunday I hung out with Ryan again to celebrate the day we met one year ago. Incredible. Then that night I went to the Miss LSU-USA pageant to watch my little sister in my sorority compete. She is so beautiful! Today was spent at the library all day writing a teeth grinding research/arguementative essay. I lost track of time after a while. I started to just become a zombie I couldn’t think anymore. After my meeting tonight I finished and picked up some taco bell. I love mexi melts without meat so I treated myself to my guilty pleasure since I worked so hard today haha. Now it’s definitely time to sleep so goodnight. Ps. Blogging via iPhone isn’t that easy.

Lately I’m finding I am the book and you are the binding.
It’s been a little while since my last post. Thursday I saw the midnight showing of the Watchmen movie with Ryan. It was so long! I couldn’t submerge myself into the movie because I felt like I was dying, but overall I’ll give it a thumbs up.
Right now I work in a historic library. We keep anything published in Louisiana, anything about Louisiana, anything written by someone from Louisiana, and plenty of other stuff. Since I’ve worked there I’ve found pirate maps, old pornos, and hand written slave diaries. I’ve sat at General Grant’s desk from the civil war. Everyday I find something new in the maze of a building Hill Memorial is. On Friday I started my second job at Hobby Lobby aka the most random store in the world. Really everything except eggs, milk, and bread is sold there. Hobby lobby consumed most of my Saturday as well. Scratch that… Hobby Lobby consumed all of my Saturday since I worked from 12PM-10PM! I’ve never worked that long in my life! I’m getting too old too fast! This is one of my best friends Jessica with her great uncle’s dissertation that we found at work and me in my sweet Hobby Lobby vest and name tag.
Today I went to my parent’s house to visit because my mom had surgery, and I need to get blood work done early tomorrow morning at the hospital here. I HATE NEEDLES! Every time I go back to my parent’s house, my mom always tries to make me eat tons of food because she thinks I don’t ever eat HA! So today I came home and my favorite pizza was there waiting along with some of my homemade favorites such as spinach dip and eggplant and rice casserole. Then she made apple pie for dessert.
